Walorski-Hall and Donnelly-Braun Debates Scheduled for Same Time

 A date has been set for the first debate between incumbent Republican Jackie Walorski and Democratic challenger Mel Hall. And it’s the same day and a senatorial debate between Joe Donnelly and Mike Braun.

The Walorski-Hall debate will be at 7 p.m. on October 8 on WSBT moderated by Bob Montgomery.

Hall’s campaign manager has said WSBT suggested the time for the debate.

The two candidates are running for the seat for Indiana’s 2nd Congressional district, which includes Elkhart, St. Joseph, Marshall, Fulton, Wabash, Miami, Starke and Pulaski counties and parts of LaPorte and Kosciusko counties.

This is the first of two agreed to televised debates. Neither will have an audience. A date for the second hasn’t been announced yet.

The senate debate between Incumbent Democrat Donnelly and Republican challenger Braun and Libertarian candidate Lucy Brenton is October 8 at 7 p.m. at Purdue Northwest in Westville.

Elections are November 6. Voter registration deadlines are the day following the debate, October 9.
