Visitors and residents of Nappanee will be able to learn a little bit more about its history through a series of walking tours starting this month.

The series of four tours starts with one talking about the homes that belonged to influential people in the kitchen cabinet industry. It’s July 19th at 7 p.m starting at the Nappanee Public Library.

Other tours will cover how Nappanee became a town, the beginnings of business and buildings in the town, and about fires, demolition and revitalization.

Program 1 - The Battle of the Airwaves

The first hour of a two-part series that explores the music created during the Vietnam War, which expressed the deep divisions in the U.S. and provided a life line for GIs in Vietnam, as well as a source of healing when they came home.

South Bend Stories

The Salvation Army Kroc Center and 88.1 WVPE present South Bend Stories in celebration of the city's 150 year anniversary. These stories are produced in the Kroc Center Recording Studio as told by individuals in the community, for the community. New Stories will be aired weekly every Monday at 7:45 AM and 12:30 PM on WVPE throughout 2015.
