With fewer people needing a COVID-19 test due to the vaccine, Elkhart County is making some changes to its testing sites.
The free testing site in the Concord Mall parking lot will permanently close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30.
A new drive-up location will open at Elkhart Central Fire Station (500 East St. Elkhart, IN 46516) on July 6. That site will operate from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to noon on the first and third Saturday of each month.
In Goshen, the free testing site at the Center for Healing and Hope (902 S. Main St.
Goshen, IN 46526) will be closed on July 5. Starting July 7, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and Fridays and from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Walk-ins are welcome both sites, but you can also make an appointment at coronavirus.in.gov.
The Elkhart Clinic (2115 West Lexington Elkhart, IN 46514) will change its hours of operations starting July 12. The new hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday. A physicians order is needed and insurance will be accepted.
