All IN: The Resurgence of Meth

Jan 13, 2020

Most of the attention around drug addiction these days goes to the opioid epidemic. And it’s easy to understand why. It’s deadly, widespread, and its effects on society have cost a lot of money. But for years, meth has been quietly growing in popularity, and it’s becoming a larger, more complicated problem for health professionals and law enforcement to address.

Today we talk with a health expert and federal agents about what meth addiction looks like, how the drug is being made, and where it’s coming from.

We also speak with a professor of journalism who studies the challenges journalists face as first responders to violent news events, and how to minimize trauma.
