Notre Dame announced that musician Billy Joel will perform at a concert in the Notre Dame Stadium next summer.
Billy Joel, also known as “The Piano Man,” has performed on Notre Dame’s campus three times before - but never at the stadium.
This will be the second major concert at the stadium following the Garth Brooks concert last October.
University spokesperson Micki Kidder said the performance will benefit the community in lots of ways - like bringing business to local restaurants and hotels.
“Seeing people out within the community not only is great in a social level but also provides an economic impact to those small business owners,” she said.
Kidder expects the concert will bring as much business to the community as a home football game.
The concert is Saturday, June 20th, 2020.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 18th.
