“We have come such a long way in our fight against COVID and with the ever-increasing presence of variants, vaccination is more important now than ever before. Anything we can do as a city to up our rates of vaccination, we are willing to try. Our staff members are essential and interact with the public on a daily basis. We have a responsibility to keep them and our residents as safe as possible. If giving someone a couple of days off incentivizes them to get vaccinated, that’s great.” – Mayor Rod Roberson
