City Of Goshen Addressing Homeless Encampment

City of Goshen, Indiana

A taskforce has been convened in Goshen to address a homeless encampment along the Millrace Trail.

The Goshen Police and Mayor’s office have received complaints about camping, fires and fighting in the area.

Goshen Mayor Jeremy Stutsman said in statement that the city is taking
the complaints and the encampment seriously but says the problem needs to be addressed with compassion.

The taskforce includes city departments, non-profit agencies that work with people who are homeless, three council members and area residents.

A step-by-step plan is expected in the next few weeks.
