The Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan has a mission of community impact and personal growth and encourages lifelong learning and engagement. Their Speakers Series provides a way for multi-generational sharing of experiences to learn more about the world around us. In the world today, driven by headlines, soundbites and social media, The Economic Club provides the opportunity to go beyond the surface of current events to learn more. This year again, The Speakers Series has representation from a wide variety of fields and expertise.
The 2018-2019 Season begins with Vice President Joe Biden, Tuesday October 16, followed by Wes Moore, CEO of Robin Hood on Wednesday November 14th. Next is a Young Professionals event featuring Author and Venture Capitalist, Alex Banayan, on Tuesday, February 19th. Up next is NBC News Political Director, Chuck Todd on Tuesday March, 26th, and the series concludes on Tuesday April 9th with Reshma Saujani, Founder and CEO of Girls Who Code.
