Sunday night Elkhart authorities released details of a killing in the city of Elkhart.

On July 5, 2020 at 8:13 pm officers were dispatched to 1548 Laurelwood Dr in regards to a shooting with injuries.
Officers arrived on scene and located a victims with a gunshot wound. A 36 year old male was later pronounced deceased.
Officers secured the scene and called in Detectives from the Elkhart County Homicide Unit to work the case. There is no immediate threat to public safety. There have been no arrests at this time. Any further updates will be issued by the Elkhart County Prosecutors Office.
