The acclailmed musical "Evita" is coming to the Morris Performing Arts Centre, Friday, January 25th through Sunday the 27th. Shows Friday and Saturday are at 8pm, with 2pm matinees Saturday and Sunday.
Featuring the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, "Evita" chronicles the life of Argentine political leader, Eva Peron, the second wife of President Juan Peron. Set in Buenos Aires between 1934 and 1952, the musical follows the rags to riches rise of the First Lady of Argentina, becoming one of the most powerful women in Latin America. She would eventually become more of a saint-like figure after her death from cancer at the age of 33. Click here for ticket information.
