Goshen College cancels Keillor performance

Garrison Keillor will not perform at Goshen College in May following allegations of inappropriate behavior against the popular public radio personality.

Goshen College says it is cancelling the performance scheduled for May 6th as part of Goshen College Music Center’s performing arts series.

Minnesota Public Radio and American Public Media severed ties from Keillor after allegation surfaced of inappropriate behavior during his time as the producer of ‘A Prairie Home Companion.’

Keillor’s syndicated short ‘The Writer’s Almanac’ will no longer be heard on WVPE. MPR’s weekly variety show with host Chris Thile will continue, though MPR has said they will be changing the name and rebranding the show.

Goshen College said in statement they are looking for a suitable replacement for the Keillor performance. They will be announcing that as soon as possible as well as information for ticket holders.

Goshen College and the Goshen College Music Center are underwriters of WVPE.
