Help From The Public Sought In Investigation Into Vehicle That Drove Into Protestors In Mishawaka

The St. Joseph Co. Prosecutor's office is asking for help from the public as it takes on a case in which a vehicle drove through a crowd of protestors in Mishawaka on the 4th of July.

St. Joseph County –Today, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office received the Mishawaka Police Department’s investigation into a vehicle driving through a crowd of protestors on July 4, 2020 on the Main Street Bridge, Mishawaka. During the course of that event, a man was injured and taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.

The investigation includes statements from a number of witnesses; physical evidence; reports; and videos from the City of Mishawaka, including at least one (1) video from a witness.
 

However, this Office has been advised that there may be more videos of just before the incident, the incident itself, and the aftermath. In order to fully evaluate the facts and determine any prosecutorial decisions, the Prosecutor’s Office wants to review all available evidence and is asking for the public’s assistance in obtaining copies of those videos. Therefore, if you took video of the event that occurred on July 4, 2020 or have a copy of that video, please contact socialmedia@stjoepros.org.
