INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and Holocaust survivor Eva Kor of Terre Haute head the Indiana Historical Society's 2019 class of Living Legends.

The society on Wednesday announced Manning and Kor are joined in the class by retail executive Angela Ahrendts and Catholic education champions Dan and Beth Elsener of Indianapolis.

Kor survived medical experiments supervised by Nazi doctor Josef Mengele at the Auschwitz concentration camp.

Ahrendts, a Ball State University graduate, was most recently senior vice president of Apple Retail and before that was CEO of London-based luxury brand Burberry.

The society each year recognizes extraordinary Hoosiers as Living Legends for their accomplishments in a variety of fields. This year's class will be honored July 25 at the Indiana History Center in downtown Indianapolis.
