Meijer recalls products with sliced apples

Meijer has voluntarily recalledproducts containing sliced apples from a Detroit area produce company that may contain listeria.

The apple-products come from Fresh-Pak Inc. And are sold in Meijer stores in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

Listeria is a bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.

The apples came on Meijer’s Michigan harvest salad, sharable waldorf salad and cranberry apple stuffing starter. The products should not be used. They can be thrown away or returned to the store for a refund.
