No WVPE Listener Counties In "Orange" On Latest State Map

IDOH

For the first time in a month and a half, no WVPE listener counties are in the “orange” on the Indiana Department of Health’s color-coded COVID-19 tracking map.

The last listener counties in the orange – Marshall, LaPorte and Elkhart – all moved to the “yellow” category this week. That’s compared to just two weeks ago, when five counties in Northern Indiana were in the orange, which indicates high spread of the virus.

Pulaski, Fulton and Kosciusko counties are all in the least-serious “blue” category, which indicates the lowest spread of the virus.

Starke, St. Joseph and LaGrange counties all maintained their yellow status from last week, indicating moderate virus transmission.

Hospitalizations in Healthcare District 2, which covers most of the WVPE listening area, have fallen sharply since the beginning of the month. They’re now approximately the same as they were in late March, when hospitalizations first began to rise.
