South Bend Democratic Mayoral Primary - Results

With votes from all the precincts in, Democratic candidate for South Bend Mayor, James Mueller, has garnered the most votes - earning over 37% of the votes cast. The next closest candidate is Jason Critchlow with just over 25% of the vote. 

Mueller was endorsed by outgoing Mayor Pete Buttigieg. He worked as Buttigieg's Chief of Staff and Executive Director of Community Investment. 

Buttigieg introduced Mueller to supporters after the votes were counted by saying, "I believe I am introducing to you the next mayor of the city of South Bend."

Mueller responded by saying, "Pete is a tough act to follow." 

Mueller will face Republican Sean Haas in November.
