WVPE Announces Nonprofits That Will Get Airtime Thanks To Your Giving Tuesday Generosity

Dec 1, 2020

Giving Tuesday has been a big success thanks to you.

On Giving Tuesday your donation to WVPE was a way for you to designate another charity that you would like to see have access to airtime on WVPE.

We have finished all the tallying and are pleased to announce that the following nonprofit organizations will benefit by being able to use our airwaves to help share the story of the good works they are doing in the community:

-Faith in St. Joseph County will benefit from receiving $5,000 worth of airtime on WVPE. The organization formed in 2018 aims to reduce gun violence and incarceration.

-The Food Bank of Northern Indiana will receive $2,500 worth of airtime on WVPE. The agency helps to alleviate food insecurity in St. Joseph, Elkhart, LaPorte, Marshall, Starke and Kosciusko counties.

-La Casa de Amistad in South Bend will receive $1,000 worth of airtime on WVPE. The organization works to empower the Latino/Hispanic community within Michiana by providing educational, cultural and advocacy services in a welcoming, bilingual environment.

Thanks again to all of you who supported WVPE on Giving Tuesday and in turn, supported other area nonprofits.
