The IU Board of Trustees said it won’t recognize the graduate student union requested by striking Student Academic Appointees.

Gov. Eric Holcomb has appointed an Indianapolis entrepreneur to the Indiana University Board of Trustees, IU officials said Friday.

The IU Board of Trustees violated the state’s Open Door Law by approving a $582,000 contract for former President Michael McRobbie during an executive session, according to an opinion from Indiana’s public access counselor.
