Four Winds four casinos in Michiana will remain open for the time being amid Coronavirus outbreaks.

The Indiana Gaming Commission announced Saturday that all state licensed casinos will be closed for two weeks beginning Monday.

Four Winds casinos are under tribal government jurisdiction and are not subject to that closure.

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi website shows the tribe has postponed all tribal events and activities.

The Pokagon Band says it wants a full-fledged casino, but federal law allows it to open a facility limited to electronic bingo machines with no state input.

A study committee this summer produced recommendations for Indiana’s gaming industry, including moving riverboats on land and allowing racinos live table games.
