A half dozen charges have been filed against a young woman who investigators say was going at least 75 mph when she allegedly caused a deadly five car chain reaction crash Sunday in South Bend. 

St. Joseph Co. Jail

Today the St. Joseph Co. Prosecutor's office announced that Travis William Logan, Jr., 19, was arrested in connection with a deadly crash on Feb. 7. 

Logan is accused of fleeing police and hitting a car at McKinley and Fir/Byrkit in Mishawaka. 

The driver of that car, John Riedle, was killed and Riedle's passenger was seriously injured. 

Logan was arrested this morning by the St. Joseph Co. Airport Authority.

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say one person was killed and three more were injured early Sunday during a car crash in southwestern Michigan.

According to a statement from the St. Joseph Public Safety Department, the crash occurred before 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities believe two of the car's passengers were ejected from the vehicle during the rollover crash.

One of those people died at the location of the crash. The others were taken to a hospital for treatment.

BUCHANAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Officials have identified the four people killed when another car ran a stop sign at a high rate of speed and slammed into their vehicle in southwestern Michigan's Berrien County.

Sheriff's officials identified the driver as 66-year-old Robert Klint of Sawyer. The passengers have been identified as 60-year-old Melissa Klint of Sawyer, 22-year-old Landyn Klint of Sawyer and 52-year-old Virginia resident Kent Williamson.
