Enrollment for Medicare is open right now and country’s top Medicare official says some Hoosiers could be paying less.

During the annual open enrollment period, people on Medicare can add benefits or change plans. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Seema Verma says in Indiana, some premiums are down an average of 15 percent.

A healthcare company that recently opened in Mishawaka expects to provide nearly 100 jobs for community members. 

Dynamic Synergy relocated to a larger office so they can support the 95 workers they plan on having by the end of the year. The business grew to 43 employees in the past week.

Indiana State Treasurer Kelly Mitchell promoted a new program to South Bend residents that allows someone with a disability, or a parent of a child with a disability, to create a savings account with special tax advantages. Mitchell, along with staff were available to answer questions regarding the program at the Logan Center following the presentation.
