Music in the Gardens

Anthony Hunt/WVPE

Your local NPR station extends our thanks to the thousands of you who helped us wrap up another amazing summer event season.  From three Meet Me on the Island events to Fernwood Friday to Music in the Gardens...it was an extraordinary season of entertainment, partnership and community building among the WVPE listener-member family.

The Fall Membership Campaign is next up for us at WVPE, running from Oct. 2-8.

We look forward to your continued support and consider it a privilege to be your local NPR station.

WVPE announces the next event in our Four Winds Entertainment Series is back by popular demand - “Music in the Gardens.”

We’ll gather in South Bend on Friday, August 23rd outside The History Museum where the Whistle Pigs will take the stage from 5:30-8:30.

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to claim a spot on the grounds of the Historic Oliver Gardens on West Washington Street. And feel free to explore the museum during the event. The Landing will be on hand offering a special menu and beverages for sale.

A big thank you to everyone who came out Friday, August 2, for our final  Meet Me on the Island event of the summer. The weather was great and so was the crowd!

Shake N' Chill was a hit on stage providing the music.

We join our partners at the South Bend Museum of Art in hosting this event and this was the 31st year for the Meet Me on the Island series.
