WVPE's Photo of the Week comes from a pond in Goshen. Paul Steury captured this image late in November of 2019 right outside his back door. The waterfowl are featured prominently. Ducks in the foreground and swans in the background. Paul calls them "iceberg swans."

Sam says he is trying to spend time in nature away from others during these unprecedented times.

It's been a crazy week between the markets, coronavirus and primary elections.  So let's all just take a deep breath and enjoy a tranquil sunrise. This image comes to us courtesy of Dawn Burns of Syracuse, Indiana. Dawn captured this scene on Lake Wawasee on August 5, 2019, at 6:31am when it was a balmy 62 degrees. She says she was struck by the quiet and still nature of the lake that morning with what she calls a perfect balance of mist and color. Dawn says she happened upon this image during one of her regular morning walks to the lake.

The snow and the fruit captured in this image seem representative of how the seasons can clash. A timely reminder as we look ahead to the offiical start of spring on March 20th.

WVPE's Photo of the Week comes from Scott, Indiana, which is in our listening area. It's a small unincorporated community in LaGrange County's Van Buren Township. It's on the Pigeon River near the Indiana Toll Road about a mile south of the Indiana-Michigan border. 

This image was captured by Scott Doty of Sturgis, Michigan. He took the photo on his way to work in Middlebury on February 21st.
