Photo Of The Week - A Rainy Night In Goshen

WVPE's latest Photo of the Week features a rainy night in Goshen on January 10th of this year. Bright lights and reflections on the wet pavement make for a colorful photo submission by Cyndi Holther of Sturgis, Michigan.

Our latest Photo of the Week comes from Gary King of South Bend.  This is an image taken at Turkey Run State Park, Trail 4 on December 28th of last year. With the Geminid meteor showers peaking December 13-14, we thought this image would be a timely selection for our Photo of the Week. Robert Parrish captured this image of the star Deneb (top center of the picture) in Edwardsburg on August 1, 2019. Deneb is the 19th most luminous star in the entire night sky.

In the last week the fall colors have really popped around Michiana. Hopefully, more beautiful and vibrant fall colors are to come. This image comes from Ashley Henderson of South Bend. It was taken last fall in early November on Worster Lake during an early morning kayak session at Potato Creek State Park.

Photo Of The Week: 'Along The St. Joseph River'

You never know what you might see when walking along the St. Joseph River in South Bend. Anne Brown captured this image on the morning of October 13th. Anne says she was walking near the South Bend Farmer's Market when her husband, Dean Alvis, spotted a double-crested cormorant sharing a log with two large turtles. She says Dean joked that it brings to mind the famous painting "Washington Crossing the Delaware!”
