Robinson Shakespeare Company Washes Their Hands to the Bard

The Robinson Shakespeare Company at the University of Notre Dame is usually an after school drama program for kids. Because of the coronavirus those kids are out of school, and performances are cancelled. The company has turned to using Shakespeare to promote proper handwashing.

Twenty second songs, like ‘My Country Tis of Thee,’ or ‘Happy Birthday,’ (twice) are the usual recommended methods for timing your handwashing. But students at the Robinson Company are using Shakespeare. 

'The Tempest' Comes To Notre Dame February 5-7

Shakespeare's The Tempest comes to the stage at Notre Dame February 5-7. The Tempest will be performed at Notre Dame's Washington Hall by Actors From The London Stage. The five-actor ensemble cast is touring the U.S. and each actor portrays multiple roles. Tickets are available for three 7:30pm performances on Wednesday, Feb. 5; Thurs., Feb. 6 and Fri., Feb. 7. Notre Dame's Shakespeare Festival Is July 19-26

This year's festival features three different event experiences. 

Shakespeare After Hours is Friday, July 19 at LangLab in South Bend at 7 and 9:30pm.

ShakeScenes is at Washinton Hall on the Notre Dame campus  Saturday, July 20 at 2pm. 

Shakespeare in Fremont Park is Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26 at 7pm in South Bend's Fremont Park.
