Soldiers for Peace takes a deep look at why a significant number of Vietnam veterans felt compelled to oppose the war rather than simply try to put it behind them when they returned home. Through first-person storytelling, it explores the way their conceptions of patriotism changed and evolved as their faith in the Vietnam War and the American government dissolved.

A traveling Vietnam memorial wall arrived in South Bend today for the first time in more than 20 years.

The Wall That Heals is a slightly smaller version of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. - but it's meant to equally honor Americans who served in the War.

All wars are the same, it is said; only the scenery changes. And the repercussions are pretty much the same too. 

Over the course of five years producers working with the Public Radio Exchange gathered stories of surviving members of Delta Company, a Vietnam-era paratrooper unit. Over the course of the last two years it turned from a book into a radio story.
