Students learn everything from changing tires to re-building engines.

EACC Director Brandon Eakins said the new space looks a lot like what students will find when they get jobs in the automotive industry.

“Everything’s set up specifically for this purpose. We didn’t take a building and retrofit it, we designed it to do what we’re trying to train to. So it will be representative to what they see when they get out in the field. It will make for an easier transition for the students.”

The programs were previously housed in a retrofitted warehouse. That vacated space will allow the Career Center’s small engine and auto-body programs to expand.
