If you see fighter jets over South Bend Friday and Saturday, don’t be alarmed, they’re Air Force pilots practicing for a flyover at this weekend’s Notre Dame football game.
Four F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets will be doing a ceremonial flyover during pregame activities before the game Saturday afternoon between the ninth ranked Fighting Irish and the 14th ranked North Carolina State Wolfpack.
Kickoff is at 3:30.
Test runs are planned for Friday at around noon, weather permitting.
