For the fifth consecutive year IU Health Goshen is providing the essential support needed to make the IU Health Goshen Entertainment Series a reality. June 3 – Meet Me on the Island 5:30 – 9:00pm Memphis Underground
The Saint Joseph River and the “island” behind The Century Center in downtown South Bend sets the scene for the first of three Meet Me on the Island events for this summer. South Bend Museum of Art coordinates an artist marketplace, Century Center provides concessions and WVPE has contracted with Memphis Underground, to bring their mix of classic rock, Motown and dance music to the island. July 1 – Meet Me on the Island 5:30 – 10:00pm JR Clark and the All Star Blues Mob & Fireworks!
The holiday weekend couldn’t have a better start than with Meet Me on the Island featuring the high energy of natural showman JR Clark, and his All Star Blues Mob. July 15 – Envirofest 5:30 – 9:00pm Kennedy’s Kitchen
The Elkhart Environmental Division, Wellfield Botanic Gardens, and WVPE collaborate this year to present Envirofest. This is the most family friendly event of the season providing demonstrations, displays and children’s activities. Kennedy’s Kitchen plays all things Irish from pub songs, to sing-a-longs, to rich harmonies, with fiddle, flute, whistle, mandolin, tenor banjo, guitar, and bass. July 22 – Fernwood Friday 5:30 – 9:00pm VibeNation
Fernwood Botanical Gardens & Nature Preserve provides the perfect surroundings for the smooth sounds of VibeNation during Fernwood Friday. Members of WVPE and Fernwood can enjoy the surroundings, catch up with old friends, and enjoy VibeNation, a jazz group that combines the vibraphone, marimba and winds. August 5 – Meet Me on the Island 5:30 – 9:00pm The Tim Harrington Band
The Tim Harrington Band provides the entertainment for the last of the three Meet Me on the Island events for the summer. This seven piece band, based in Fort Wayne, incorporates horn arrangements into original and cover tunes, adding their own flair with very exciting results. August 19 – Warsaw Friday 5:30 – 9:00 Kris Brownlee
Support in the southern half of our listening area continues to grow, and our nod to those listeners is Warsaw Friday, this year, featuring contemporary jazz saxophonist Kris Brownlee. This versatile instrumentalist is sure to entertain in the fun atmosphere of Spike’s Beach Grill at Noa Noa Wood Grill & Sushi Bar. September 16 – New Music Meet-Up 5:00 – 9:00 White Oaks
The IU Health Goshen Entertainment Series concludes this year with a brand new event; New Music Meet-Up, a partnership with The Goshen Brewing Company and Ignition Music.
