Michigan-based Meijer beats most other national retailers when it comes to Black Friday deals. That’s according to analysis from personal finance social network WalletHub.com.
WalletHub spokeswoman Jill Gonzalez says they looked at 5,500 black Friday deals.
"Meijer is definitely regionally based. But it is still a top contender as far as the big retailers go,” Gonzalez said. "So although you might think, you know, going to Meijer and getting some groceries, these are some discounts to really be looked into.”
Gonzalez says shoppers will find especially good deals on jewelry and furniture at Meijer, beating competitors like Wal-Mart, Target, and Amazon.
Gonzalez says the best deals this year will be a discount of 40% or more.
