Goshen College Communication Department Presents: 4th Annual Goshen College Short Film Festival

The Goshen College Communication Department will be hosting the 4th Annual Goshen College Short Film Festival at the Goshen Theater in downtown Goshen on April 25 at 7 p.m. The event is free to the public and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

This annual event is an opportunity for GC students from the Film Production Program to premiere short films they have been working on throughout the school year, including two senior capstone projects.

Short films premiering are:

“Dear Oliver” by Macinsy Sanchez, ‛24 film production major from Goshen, and Aliah Campbell, ‛24 film production major from Goshen

Two curious teenagers, Eleanor and Henry, embark on a journey to find the missing piece of an old torn-in-half love letter from the 1920s. But Henry begins to feel unappreciated as Eleanor takes control. Realizing her mistake, she turns to her loving mother for some advice, where Eleanor then finds the missing piece of the mystery. Now it’s up to her to make amends.

“The Right Time” by Sarah Lopez Ramirez, ‛24 film production major from Mishawaka, and Joshua Garcia, ‛24 film production major from Elkhart

After a cupcake mix-up on a birthday date, Aiden’s plan of a normal night goes awry when his surprise to Emily comes with a ring.

“A Haunting Hike” by Gavin Johnson, ‛25 film production major from MichiganI, and Lindsay Daniels, ‛26 film production major from Goshen

In search of the bathroom at a party, two college students encounter paranormal activity.

“Bright Lights” by Ryan Carrillo, ‛26 film production major from Goshen, and Uziel Romero, ‛26 film production major from Goshen

After waking up in a little girl's bedroom, Julian has to learn his surroundings and figure out what is going on.

“Dig It” by Bennett Silveus, ‛25 film production major from Warsaw, and Peri Mast-Hochstedler, ‛26 sociology major from Goshen

“Shortly after arriving on a new college campus, Avery uncovers a mystery from her grandma’s time as a student.”

“Laszlo” by Matija Margetic, ‛26 film production major from Zagreb, Croatia, and Collin Echols, ‛25 broadcast major from Carmel

A strict father brings his daughter to a remote lake house to make her focus on her research paper. After he takes drastic measures to stop her from being distracted, he is taken on a journey through his subconscious.

“P.S. I Will Always Love You” by Isabel Massud Faria De Souza, ‛26 film production major form Brazil, and Jasmin Smith , ‛26 broadcast major from California

I will always love you: The death of her girlfriend led to a music student giving up on her College career. However, she is given one last opportunity to graduate and find closure.

“Sprezzarura” by Adrian Delgadillo, ‛25 film production major from Illinois, and Brenton Pham, ‛25 art major from Goshen

A painter begins to lose his mind trying to achieve perfection in an art piece.

“The Last Clue” by Lily Herrera, ‛26 broadcasting major from California, and Gregor Rommelspacher, ‛25 film production major from Germany

Two students follow a series of clues trying to solve the mystery behind a missing person case.

“When Destiny Calls” by Michael Murrell, ‛24 broadcasting major from Elkhart

A young priest gets a surprising visitor. Their conversation turns into a valuable lesson about death and acceptance.

About the Goshen College Communication Department: The Goshen College Communication Department has been recognized in the state and nation for its excellence in broadcasting, journalism, speech, film production and writing. The department has been named Indiana TV and Radio school of the year multiple times, Best College Radio station in the nation twice, Indiana Broadcasters Association Best Radio Station, Best College Newspaper in the state and many more.
