Two Michigan State University athletic trainers lied to police about their knowledge of sexual abuse of students by Larry Nassar, according to Michigan's licensing agency.
The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and the Attorney General's office served administrative complaints to athletic trainers Destiny Teachnor-Hauk and Lianna Hadden for giving the false statements.
Both complaints assert that students informed the trainers about the discomfort they felt during Larry Nassar’s treatments.
Nassar is a former sports doctor at MSU convicted of numerous sexual assault charges.
But during interviews with special agents from the AG's office, both trainers denied that any student had ever told them of concerns with Nassar or his treatment.
The administrative complaints could lead to fines and having their licenses suspended or revoked.
In a written statement, MSU officals said, "We were made aware today of the administrative complaint filed by the state Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs regarding two trainers at Michigan State University. We are reviewing the findings and taking the complaint seriously."
