The Jack R. Howard Award "honors the best in-depth and investigative audio reporting of a single event or issue that was broadcast or covered online by a radio station, group of radio stations, radio network, syndication or production company, or individual that/who produce(s) audio content."

Believed is an award-winning podcast collaboration from Michigan Radio and NPR that sought to share the stories of the survivors and families impacted by Larry Nassar’s victimization of young women and athletes over a span of more than 20 years.

The podcast has also been honored with Columbia University's Dart Award for Excellence in Coverage of Trauma and was recently nominated for a Peabody.
