WVPE Programming Changes Announced By General Manager Anthony Hunt

Read the letter from Anthony Hunt, WVPE General Manager.

At the end of September, WVPE will go All IN.  Since the days of Talk of the Nation, all Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations (IPBS) have held a dream to develop a statewide call-in show. With launch funding provided by the Lilly Endowmentand the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPBAll IN begins statewide distribution in Indiana Monday, Sept. 30 every weekday from 1:00-2:00 pm. If you’d like a preview, click here. The program is currently in test-run mode Tuesdays and Thursdays in Indianapolis.

WFYI’s Chief Content Officer Matt Shafer Powell says, “We have the full resources of IPB News to help deliver up-to-date information from all over Indiana, and we have a lifelong Hoosier host, Matt Pelsor, with keen insights and a natural curiosity that we think will keep listeners fully engaged.”

Joining this statewide programming will mean program changes to our schedule. Initially, All IN will cover the second hour of Here & Now on our main FM channel, 88.1 WVPE HD1. We will begin carrying three hours of Here & Now on our NEWS2 channel from 1-4pm, so you will not have to miss any of that program.

(Also due to the changes, the CBC program q will no longer be on NEWS 2, but you can still hear it weekdays at 7pm on our main channel, 88.1 WVPE.)

As always, your thoughts and input are invaluable to the continued success of WVPE. I welcome your e-mails, texts, and calls.
