Officials with Notre Dame's Veldman Family Psychology Clinic say they're excited for its potential to boost research while also meeting mental health care needs in the South Bend community.

Notre Dame project to help local youth with mental health

The three-year St. Joseph County Universal Wellness Project will train 75 local providers, and launch an online platform kids can use themselves, to help Michiana youth suffering mental health problems like anxiety and depression.

Notre Dame's Psychological Services Center on Hill Street. The university plans to demolish this structure this spring and begin construction of the new facility this summer.
