TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) — A Michigan summer tradition is being canceled because of the coronavirus. Officials decided Wednesday to call off the Labor Day walk across the Mackinac Bridge. Tens of thousands of people usually join the walk every year. It's the only time the nearly 5-mile-long span is open to pedestrians. The bridge links Michigan's Upper and Lower peninsulas and crosses the channel that connects Lake Huron to Lake Michigan.
