WASHINGTON (AP) — Who's got the goods on health care policy? That qnt in the feisty Democratic presidential debate as rivals stood accused of being lightweights who have done little more than put up Post-it notes or slideshows on the subject.

Democratic presidential candidates are debating for the first time since the Iowa caucuses. There are seven candidates on the stage Friday night in New Hampshire, ahead of Tuesday's primary in the state.

Buttigieg Looks To Prove His Staying Power In Atlanta Debate

ATLANTA (AP) — Four Democrats jumbled at the top of the party’s presidential primary are looking to begin separating themselves in Wednesday’s final debate before Thanksgiving begins sapping voters’ attention — and that may mean sharpest criticism for the one with the most-recent rise, Pete Buttigieg.

South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg went after Elizabeth Warren’s plan by leaning into his own Midwestern credentials.

“This is why people here in the Midwest are so frustrated with Washington in general and Capitol Hill in particular,” Buttigieg said, reminding voters of his profile as a mayor from a red state.

Buttigieg has tried to carve out a lane for himself as a moderate bridge-builder and a fresh-faced alternative to the space occupied by former Vice President Joe Biden, who has been popular with white working-class voters.

After tech investor Andrew Yang announced his contest that could give $1,000 per month to 10 people, there was a pause before South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg delivered his opening remarks. Sen. Kamala Harris of California could be heard laughing. Then Buttiegieg raised his eyebrows and said, that’s “original -- I’ll give you that.”
