The Episcopal Cathedral of St. James presents the 30th annual SHORTCAKES ON THE BLACKTOP Strawberry Festival on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Proceeds from the festival will benefit Clubhouse of St. Joseph County, Camp New Happenings, and St. Margaret’s House.
The festival takes place in the parking lot of the Cathedral of St. James, 117 N. Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend. Each delicious homemade shortcake topped with fresh strawberries, ice cream and whipped cream costs only seven dollars ($7.00). A limited quantity of gluten-free and dairy-free options will be available. Shortcakes can be delivered to offices in or near downtown South Bend and Notre Dame between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM for orders of five or more shortcakes. Pre-purchased tickets are available and guaranteed until 2:30 PM.
