Join us for a special showing of three historic short films. These were filmed in Syracuse, Indiana and on Lake Wawasee ranging from 1937 to 1957. These films highlight what life was like in the area during that time period. The three films are:
• 1937 film of the Wawasee shoreline and nearby attractions, taken from the lake;
• 1930s promotional films of the Spink-Wawasee Hotel;
• Color film of the Syracuse Chinese Gardens.
After the showing, the audience will be invited to share memories via an open microphone. These will be recorded, and strictly limited to 5-minutes. For people who want to share longer stories, the Syracuse-Wawasee Historic Museum will set up an individual appointment to record the individual's memories.
