As schools finish for the year, summer feeding programs are kicking off to serve kids while schools are not in session.

Summer feeding programs are generally run out of schools or community centers and are funded by the Federal Department of Agriculture and through the state.

Any child can go the location to get a free lunch. Some locations also offer breakfasts, take home food, or low-cost meals for adults.

Michigan residents can find their nearest location by texting ‘food’ to 877-877. Those in Indiana can use thisintereactive map.
