The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office has released information on a crash Friday morning that left a teen dead and seriously injured another driver.

St. Joseph County –This morning at approximately 8:44 a.m., law enforcement responded to a fatal crash that occurred on Dragoon Trail, Mishawaka.
A Buick Century was traveling eastbound on Dragoon Trail, east of Logan, when the right side tires of the vehicle left the roadway on the right side. Initial investigation indicates that the driver lost control of the vehicle and went into the westbound lanes, where a collision occurred with a Toyota Highlander.
Both vehicles spun after impact, coming to rest in the westbound lanes.
The driver of the Buick Century, identified as Macayla Marie Teeter, 19, of Mishawaka, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Toyota Highlander, identified as Jolyn Catherine McQueen, 34, of Mishawaka, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team (FACT) was activated, per protocol, and is handling the on-
going investigation.
