Pence To Discuss Proposed US-Mexico-Canada Trade Deal

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Vice President Mike Pence is traveling to Indianapolis this week to discuss the proposed U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement.

The former Indiana governor will arrive early Thursday afternoon aboard Air Force Two at Indianapolis International Airport. Pence's office says he'll then travel to Lamb Farms Inc. in Boone County "to discuss the positive impacts" the trade accord would have on the business and agricultural communities.

President Donald Trump and House Republicans have been working to build congressional support for ratifying the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade deal.

Lawmakers are selling the plan as offering big benefits for American workers, but prospects for its passage by Congress remain uncertain.
