Published reports claim a police investigation into allegations of sexual abuse by priests turned up a file labelled "victim list" during a raid on Catholic church properties in Saginaw.
MLive and the Saginaw Newsobtained the paperwork connected to a warrant executed in March of last year.
Police searched three properties owned by the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw, including the bishop’s residence. Items seized included personnel files, computers, flash drives, expense accounts and internal memos.
The paperwork does not detail what information was contained in a file labeled "victim list."
One former Saginaw priest is currently serving time for criminal sexual conduct. Two others have been suspended amid allegations of misconduct, though neither has been criminally charged.
Michigan’s Attorney General’s office is conducting astatewide investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving Catholic priests. Last month, Attorney General Dana Nessel announced charges against five priests.
