Mac Barnett, the Library of Congress Ambassador for Children's Literature, says picture books can still be a powerful way to instill a love of reading in today's screen-savvy students.

Author Mac Barnett, who specializes in and promotes picture books as a way of engaging kids with reading, will visit Concord Community Schools Oct. 13 and 14 as part of a four-state tour.
