Rod Laureys

Democrat Scott Ruszkowski and Republican Rod Laureys, vying for St. Joseph Count sheriff Nov. 3, will appear at a 6:30 p.m. Thursday candidates forum organized by We Make Indiana.

St. Joseph County’s Republican candidates for sheriff and prosecutor say Flock cameras are a great tool, but they’re open to more guardrails.

St. Joseph County sheriff candidate Rod Laureys was briefly suspended from the county police department for failing to notify its leaders of his plans to run. Laureys is a St. Joseph County police corporal.
