An ordinance approved by the county commissioners Wednesday limits data centers to industrial zones and requires approval from the board of zoning appeals.

"There’s been a lot of surveyors, prospectors, whatever you want to call them, in unmarked vehicles, and the citizens are complaining about this," said County Commissioner Steve Holifield. "They have a right to know who’s in their neighborhood."
