Police in Elkhart say a body was found in the St. Joseph River Sunday afternoon. Officials say a paddle boarder found the body a little before 4pm Sunday afternoon in the area of Edgewater Boulevard and Okema Street. Officers say the body was an adult male. The cause of death is undetermined, but the Elkhart County Homicide Unit was activated per protocol. An investigation is continuing.
