Details from ISP are below.

White County: On 03/08/2020 at approximately 8:00AM, the White County Communications Center received a call of a possible intoxicated driver heading south on SR 43 from the Chalmers area. A short time later, White County Dispatch advised that the Ford F-150 crashed into the Brookston Spirits Liquor Store.

Senior Troopers Jerrad Foutch and Tyler Stinson arrived on scene and observed the male driver, identified as Michael Stowers of Valparaiso, crawling out of the vehicle. Medical personnel were called by the troopers, but Stowers refused medical treatment on scene. Stowers also refused field sobriety tests. A search warrant for Stowers blood was applied for and granted. Stowers was booked into the White County Jail and charged with Operating While Intoxicated Refusal. Results from the blood draw are pending.
