Mishawaka Teen Takes A Plea In Murder And Feticide Case

St. Joseph County Jail

According to a spokeswoman for the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office, Aaron Trejo pled guilty to murder and feticide at a hearing today.  The plea is in connection to last December's discovery of the body of Breana Rouhselang, 17,  in a dumpster behind a business near her Mishawaka home.

According to court documents in the case, Breana was six months pregnant at the time and Trejo was the father. Shortly after her death, probable cause documents in the case indicated that Trejo told investigators, "I took action...I took her life."

Both teens were students at Mishawaka High School.

Trejo will be sentenced January 7, 2020 before Judge Hurley.  The sentencing range for murder is 45-65 years. The sentencing range for feticide is 3-16 years.
