South Bend Common Council members Oliver Davis Jr. and Sherry Bolden-Simpson have filed a bill barring city officials from entering into non-disclosure agreements, after a James Mueller administration official citing an NDA in declining to attend a recent council committee meeting.

The city of South Bend says the $10 million project, to narrow Bendix Drive from Voorde Drive to Lathrop Street and add a pedestrian path, is ready to start next year now that federal funding, comprising just over half the cost, has been confirmed.
