South Bend Common Council Member Oliver Davis pushed for body cameras for more transparency in addressing police misconduct complaints, but he says many people who interact with police can't afford paying $50 an hour for video processing time.

Oliver Davis held a press conference Friday in the County-City Building lobby, recounting the tense situation at Thursday's South Bend Common Council Rules Committee meeting.

The South Bend Common Council's attorney, Bob Palmer, cited a city ordinance in declining to identify the council members who will be the subject of complaints at the public meeting.
